Who the heckski is J. Buchanan? I’ll freakin’ tell ya, that’s me: Writer, Director, pants-less dancer, lover of the strange, horrifying, and comical; and Filmmaker.
It all started back in 2010 and I thought “Hey, wouldn’t it be just swell to dress as a superhero and make some fun videos?” Of course my cousin and friends were excited but my parents didn’t seem too impressed to see me dressed as a buffoon prancing around the neighbourhood, but look at where that all led.
My biggest passion is writing. I have written one full novel and as of now I am seeking out a publisher. My second biggest passion is taking my writings (ranging from skits to screenplays) and making those words into a reality! And getting to boss people around whilst also being an artsy-fartsy creative monster is some of the most fun I can ask for.
I really feel like I can understand humans (as I happen to be one) and before I went to school for film at da Vinci College I received my diploma in Human Services from NBCC.
Real name is Jaron Buchanan. Yes, that is not a typo. It’s JaRon, but for some reason when I say it people think I say Jared, even though there is clearly no D sound (No I will not make a ‘D’ joke at this time) and then written on paper my name appears to some people (even my dang Doctor) as Jason. With an S. I am surprised no one has called me JASOD yet! To summarize that is why I go by Jay, or simply the one letter J. (which I feel is more mysterious and cool).
Anywho, that is me in a nutshell, although I may be too big to fit in a nutshell, it would have to be a pretty large nutshell…

Justin Lajoie
Actor/Consultant
Justin is the cousin and lifelong best bud of J. Buchanan, and is one of the founders of what is now known as Rogue Rooster Productions. Out of the team he is funniest actor with hilarious improvisation skills and first to joke about things. Justin is great at coming up with odd and humorous ideas for skits and has the confidence to take things as far as possible, no matter how weird or silly.
Justin has a love for anime and horror films, he also loves metal music and other music that drives most people crazy!
The best lesson to be learned from Justin is that if you put your mind and heart into something you can achieve anything.
Jesse Wilson Price
Actor/Grip
JWP is an odd guy but is always the first to lend a hand to a friend in need; from lugging equipment around to discussing ideas to doing his best at acting, Jesse does his part and more to be one of the team here at Rogue Rooster Productions. Jesse is a bit of a writer himself and we hope to see some of his works come to life in the future.
He loves video games, midnight talks, and long walks on the beach (ladies).
Nikki Beck
Actor/Choreographer
The guys (J. Buchanan and Justin Lajoie) first met Niki Beck in 2013 at a Halloween shop, Niki had overheard the guys talking about what costumes would be fun to use for future videos and he spoke up to say that he makes videos as well on his channel BeMyRandomShow, and they instantly clicked as friends. Niki made his first appearance in a video with them where every time he re-entered the room he would have less and less of a shirt on, which became a running joke where Niki always ends up taking his shirt off.
Niki is training in the arts of Shizenden Ryu Taijutsu, Bujinkan Ninjutsu for three and a half years to become a black belt in both, Combat Judo, and has goals to become an instructor. He is also Rogue Rooster Productions fight scene choreographer, as well as actor.

Sister
Sara Buchanan
Sara Buchanan (J. Buchanan’s little sister) is very talented at near all things she puts her heart into (even though she will deny that). Over the past few years in dealing with her brother’s passion for film and being dragged into the woodworks she has shown progress in her camera work and grip abilities. As well as tinkering in online tutorials she has a knack for interesting film make up effects (which will be put to the test in future projects). She also dabbles in writing.
Sara loves to bake and cook and will be attending university for just that!
Cat
Franki
Francesca “Toe Beans” Buchanan or Franki for short has little to no film experience. She is very vocal and likes to scream throughout the night sounding like a monkey, take your chair as soon as you get up, and likes to give you kisses when you are on the toilet.
Also; Franki is a cat.
3D Animator/Writer/Actor
Nick Dunham
Nick Dunham became friends with J. Buchanan in high school and was in there for the first Red Cock episode as well as many others. The pair became close friends and roommates and partners in writing, and would aid each other in aspects of ideas and writings, even those that never saw the light of day. He enjoys working in the backgrounds of film as well as acting, but also has a passion for 3D Modeling and Animation for games, films, and VFX.
Nick got his degree for 3D Modeling and Animation at Center for Arts and Technology now known as da Vinci College.
